Smith
Jill has been dancing
for ten years, nine of them with Mission Dance and Performing Arts
which has become a second home.
She has received training
in jazz, tap, hip hop, ballet, pointe, lyrical, and modern dance.
Outside of Mission Dance, Jill has taken
classes from world-renowned
choreographers such as Wade Robson and Mia Michaels from the hit
TV show, "So You Think You Can Dance",
"You Got Served"
choreographer, Dave Scott, successful music video choreographers,
Chriss Judd, Marty Kudelka, and Rhapsody,
"America's Greatest
Dance Crew", contestant Geo Hubela, and former Golden State
Warrior Girl Choreographer, Alan Frias.
Jill has participated
in San Jose Future Shock hip hop dance troupe, many performances
within the bay area, regional
and national dance competitions
and conventions. She is thrilled to be a teacher at M.D.P.A., where
she has built life-long
friendshipsand learned
so much as a dancer and an individual. In her third year as a dance
instructor, Jill has taken on kinderdance, hip hop,
jazz, and technique classes.
Her gotal with each class is to help her students form not only
a good dance foundation, but also strong
