Marqui Martinez

Marqui has studied tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, and ballet for over 15 years at MDPA.

She has competed for over 7 years at the regional and national level with her competitive dance teams

as well as 5 years as a soloist and has captured many top honors with her outstanding technique and

charismatic personality. She was part of the varsity dance/cheer team at American High School for 3

years where she placed 1st with USA in individual competition as well as being named an All-Star

award winner at USA cheer/dance camp. Marqui has performed with Fashion Rhythms Dance Company,

choreographed for Mission Valleys ROP Fashion shows held at Marriott Hotels,as well as choreographed

high school musicals such as "Aida" and "The Copa Cabana". This past year Marqui has been a Saberkitten

on the dance/cheer team for the San Jose Sabercats professional indoor football team. She performed in

New Orleans this summer where the Sabercats won the championships at the Arena Bowl.

Marqui brings her love of dance, sense of style and stage presence to all of her students.

Marqui teaches pre-comp. classes in jazz and hip hop, along with children, teen, and adult hip hop, jazz, and leaps & turns classes.
