Gallinatti
Nicki started dancing
at Mission Dance when she was 10 years old, and since 2005 has danced
competitively for MDPA in hip hop, jazz, lyrical, and modern.
Nicki was voted the best
dancer in Irvington High School's spring 2009 production of Grease.
She spent a large part of her summer dancing with the School of
Cinema
and Performing Arts in
Brooklyn, New York and is ready to be back at her home studio for
the 2009-10 season. She is also training with APT in Daly City,
the youth team
associated with the Company,
one of the top hip hop performing groups in the Bay Area.
Over time, Nicki has found
her own style and voice in her choreography and has created many
pieces to be proud of, including the self-choreographed contemporary
duet with Kenta Naoi,
winning a platinum award and third overall duet at the competition
MOVE last year.
She is hoping to attend
New York University next fall and continue her growth in the worlds
of dance and academics. Excited to teach jazz and leaps & turns
technique
at MDPA this year, Nicki
is looking forward to sharing her experience, love, and passion
for dance with her students.
