Gomes
Veronica began her dance
journey at Mission Dance & Performing Arts in Donna Delleria’s
class in 1995 at the age of 7. She was a part of Mission Dance’s
competition team for 11 years and has had training in a variety
of dance styles including tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, and
pointe. Many of her dance groups competed in and won awards at regional
and national dance competitions such as Showstopper, Starbound,
Starpower, Starlight, and International Dance Challenge. Veronica
is great with children and has been working with them professionally
for over 7 years, not only as a dance instructor but as a swim teacher,
camp director, and she is currently working as an instructor at
an early education center. She will be graduating from San Jose
State University in December 2010 as a Liberal Studies Preparation
for Teaching Major and Dance Minor. Veronica's extensive schooling
for teaching, all of her experience working with kids, as well as
her passion of dance creates a very positive environment for the
students enrolled in her classes. She hopes to instill her love
of dance to all those she teaches and hopes that the studio will
become a second home to them, the same way it has to her. She has
been honored to be part of MDPA’s amazing staff for over 4
years and part of the Mission Dance family for going on 16 years
now.
