Lauren Benjamin

Lauren has a BFA in Painting and Photography from Memphis College of Art.

She has been choreographing as well as teaching visual and performing arts for the past five years. She has studied various types of dance, specializing in jazz and hip hop for over ten years.

Lauren has been affiliated with many dance organizations including: Breaking Ground Modern Dance Group, Bahamana African Dance Ensemble, Teen Dance Company of the Bay Area and De Anza College's Phaze 3 dance team. She also played the lead role of Sheila in San Jose Childrens Musical Theatre's production of A Chorus Line.

Her mission as a teacher is to teach dance technique and also help students gain an understanding of dance as an art form and means of expression.
