Helen Snelgrove is a middle school Dance Educator for San Francisco Unified School District. Helen graduated from Rutgers University Graduate School of Education where she received her Masters of Education (EdM) and PK-12 dance teaching certification. She completed her undergraduate degree at Rutgers University Mason Gross School of the Arts where she received a Bachelors of Fine Arts (BFA) in dance performance. While at Rutgers, she also taught in the community partnership between the Mason Gross Extension Division and East Brunswick After School Kids Program, enriching their after school program with creative movement classes for all elementary and middle school students. Helen co-presented an experiential workshop titled, "Inclusive Dance Learning: Puzzle Room Style" at the National Dance Education Organization's 2017 conference. In 2012 Helen assisted in choreographing and refining Miss Delaware's Alyssa Murray's dance for the 2012 Miss America Pageant. Helen's repertoire consists of all genres of dance, notably working with the Atlantic City Ballet and Radio City Rockettes. Helen is looking forward to joining the MDPA team and can't wait to work with the students as a Ballet teacher.
