Jordan spent most of her early dance training in Petaluma, California under Marcella Contessi Smith at North Bay Performing Arts Center - Contessi Ballet. After performing numerous roles in The Nutcracker like the Sugar Plum Fairy and Arabian Coffee, she decided to expand her dance training and later went on to attend Marin School of the Arts for dance. While attending MSA, she took on unfamiliar styles like jazz, modern, and tap while also expanding her knowledge about the history of dance. She learned about dance legends like Martha Graham and Fred Astaire and from there was inspired to never stop growing as a dancer. After graduating from MSA, she then went on to earn her position as a rookie member of the San Francisco 49ers Gold Rush Cheerleading team in 2015. Now, serving as a fifth-year veteran, she still loves the excitement and thrill performing brings her, but especially enjoys the platform this allows her to have within the community. After completing her first season, she received the teams “Most Improved” award and continues to seek out ways of improvement in all aspects of life. Jordan currently resides in San Jose where she attends San Jose State University and studies Public Relations. Jordan believes with dedication and the right mindset, every dancer has the potential to grow and reach their dreams.
